Organizational Transformation Through Brand Strategy
Organizational Change & Brand Leadership
Peacock Performing Arts Center | Creative Director & Brand Strategist
Strong organizations rarely need better marketing alone. They need a renewed sense of purpose, a compelling identity, and a shared vision that inspires both their community and the people leading them.
The Opportunity
The Peacock Performing Arts Center had a long history of serving its community, but its identity no longer reflected its potential. Attendance had plateaued, fundraising was limited, and the organization lacked a cohesive brand that could unite audiences, donors, volunteers, and board members around a common vision.
The opportunity was not simply to redesign the logo or create new advertising. It was to reposition the organization as a vibrant cultural destination that strengthened both community engagement and long-term sustainability.
My Leadership
I led the transformation by
Facilitating strategic planning with the Board of Directors and executive leadership.
Defining a renewed vision, mission, and organizational identity.
Refreshing the visual brand and communication strategy.
Creating integrated marketing campaigns across print, digital, social media, and community outreach.
Developing promotional materials, event branding, fundraising campaigns, and audience communications.
Building partnerships with local businesses, sponsors, artists, and community organizations to expand visibility and participation.
Business Results
Increased attendance by approximately 500 percent.
Contributed to approximately 300 percent growth in fundraising.
Repositioned the organization as a recognized cultural destination within the region.
Strengthened community partnerships and volunteer engagement.
Established a unified brand that continues to support programming, fundraising, and audience development.
Key Leadership Insight
Organizational transformation begins long before marketing. When leadership, purpose, brand, and community align around a shared vision, creative work becomes a catalyst for sustainable growth rather than simply promotion.
"I understand how brand strategy can transform organizations."
When Joe Powell joined the Peacock Playhouse board, we had a small-town theatre mindset. As board president, Joe led us through a strategic planning and rebranding initiative, through which we emerged as the Peacock Performing Arts Center, with a dynamic vision for the future and the courage to act on it. We still live in a small town, but thanks to Joe Powell, we have a big-city approach to the arts!
